DRIVER's vision is to build in the long-run a Europe wide Digital Repository infrastructure, which follows the principles of linking users to knowledge. The current project presents the first step in an incremental process in realising vision by building a production quality testbed.

The vision of the Belgian branch of the European DRIVER project is putting Belgian research on the map of global knowledge through digital repositories. By linking these through a national network, they can be embedded in the larger European network of distributed knowledge. The current project is a first step in building a national network of qualitative digital repositories with freely accessible content.
