The DRIVER Guidelines 2.0 are announced for November 26th, and will be well-documented as they include a lot of new specifications. Keep an eye on your inbox and this website!

 

OA

 

Springer acquired the largest OA publisher, BMC, as part of its ongoing OA business experiments. CEO Derk Haank: "This acquisition reinforces the fact that we see open access publishing as a sustainable part of STM publishing, and not an ideological crusade." Read more at Peter Suber's blog.

 

Charles Bailey has published a simple and good introduction on Scholarly Copyright for faculty. 'Authors' Rights, Tout de suite' is available under a CC license and can be translated if desired.

The ORE project has released its first v1.0 specifications and user guide.
